I work as an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in Cambridge and London. My training was with The Bowlby Centre in London where I have since worked as a tutor and seminar-leader, and regularly present Hold Me Tight Couples Workshops at the Bowlby Centre.
I have a Psychosexual Certificate from the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships and an Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Couples Therapy from the NAOS Institute.
I have completed the Immersion and Essential Skills 1 and 2 in Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an approach to working with attachment trauma, with Diana Fosha in New York; and AEDP for Couples Hybrid Course with David and Karen Mars, also in New York.
I have worked as a psychotherapist with a Family Law Firm in Cambridge, as a counsellor for the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre and as a tutor with the Refugee Therapy Centre, London.
I am a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, ICEEFT and the Forum for Independent Psychotherapists, and lead AEDP and EFT Development at the Bowlby Centre.
I originally trained as an art therapist at the University of Hertfordshire. My work as an art therapist has included palliative care within the NHS; with Choices, a charity supporting female survivors of sexual abuse; and as a counsellor at a Sixth Form College in Cambridge.
I recognise the importance of continuing professional development and supervision for my work as psychotherapist, couples therapist and art therapist, issues regarding boundaries, confidentiality and client care being of particular relevance.
Before training in psychotherapy and art therapy I worked as a costume designer in theatre and television.
